Softlink
follows Rational Unified Process(RUP) for software development. RUP
is based on sound software engineering principles such as taking an
iterative, incremental, requirements-driven, and architecture-based
approach to development. It also provides a mechanism, such as, a
working prototype at the end of each iteration and the go/no-go decision
point at the end of each phase, which provides management visibility
into the development process.

The
life cycle model of RUP constitutes of four major phases:
Inception, Elaboration, Construction and Transition.
The Inception phase is where you define the project scope
and define the business case for the system. The Elaboration
phase focuses on detailed analysis of the problem domain and
the definition of an architectural foundation for your project.
The Construction phase , often the heart of software projects
(typically to their detriment) is where the detailed design
for your application is developed as well as the corresponding
source code. The purpose of the Transition phase is to deliver
the system to your user community.
Softlink synthesizes well with the client systems and their
requirements to effectively develop and execute these four
phases. Our goal at Softlink is to ensure the production of
high-quality software that meets the needs of its end users
within a predictable schedule and budget.
At Softlink the projects are carried out in small informal
groups to promote information sharing and individual empowerment.
This also helps in understanding the client's requirements
better for result oriented solution. Softlink addresses a
wide range of application areas with its highly talented pool
of System Analysts, Architects, Developers and Quality Assurance
Engineers.
